Mega City Marketing. The UN said that urbanisation is now “unstoppable”. Just over half the world now lives in cities but by 2050 the trend prediction is by over 70%. I am convinced that we will have a huge demand for city location based services and mobility in kind of local delivery & information services. Will have an online habitat for marketing services and a chance for new & creative business ideas. I would like to use this blog to start a creative talk about possible use cases and online services for mega city marketing.

If you live or visit a City is it important to find the right location in time or to find interesting relevant places. I think that we have good navigation apps and solution but for the future we need more navigation service like realtime insights which are important for your trip (e.g. traffic, parking situation if you take the car, location information - over-crowded or not, a good friend is there). Another point are automated service to reduce your time or to relax your nerves (e.g. automated checkin service to buy tickets if you use public service vehicle or for reservation for products / services – you’re on a trip to clean your clothes and your cleaning service see it on a monitor and is waiting for you to offer you a good quick service and to offer you a motivation deal. A good Information service would be a special awareness for critical situation to prevent risks during your trip or to call for emergency help. A interesting idea could be a voice city service navigation, you call your phone for action and you’ll get the right answer or tour guide option.
2. rating, feedback, recommendation services for locations, products, delivery services, mega city marketing
over 80% believe in customer feedbacks and here is a good chance for customers to get a realtime rating overview about products of interest or to get good relevant recommendations to have more fun. My idea is to integrate ratings or feedbacks if you plan a trip. Notification Message for special deals where you keep in eye on it maybe to wait for special price level or service option. I guess that we could use our mobile devices to give feedback in a smart way to offer the product or service provider the option to optimize the product / service quality or the line of goods. Feedback is a present!

Health Services will play an essential role in Mega Cities to overcome  the huge demands of the population therefore we need a good service and information networking services to optimize and prioritize Healthcare for Mega Cities. I guess that we’ll have in near future life balance cards where we can collect points for your health in kind of bonus points for fitness or prevention measurement as a motivation. Another point are emergency service in case you have a critical situation or you need a special monitoring the service will call the best solution to save your live. A good point is to have a city health radar with health tips and recommendations in kind of critical situation like pandemia cases to prevent panic or misunderstandings.
4. government services, mega city marketing
The biggest challenges for mega cities is to overcome the urban administration and to manage the public demands like registration, financial administration, citizen center requests, administrative appeals to offer a good public balance.
I think good idea is to use online service to manage public administration tasks, to reserve a appointments or to get feedback for public administration request. I think that social free time service will help us to work on our work life balance, to increase the culture integration and to improve social communication. I think a good online service solution could be to find people with same interests, motivation for sport activities, interesting events around you, special motivation for public activities like some points for the participation on events or for public project engagement. Another idea is to send public feedbacks(based on checkin services)  if some places are over crowed to invest in new free public places.

Motion Controlled Videos or Films

The idea is to bring more interactivity and relevance into Videos with Motion based Services like Kinect or agumented Reality Services.

What do we Need?
A film or video with different Szenarios so that there Exists different Story Options. Further more we Need a Camera or kinect Option to capture the movements or motion Reaction. At least we Need the Magic Tool that controll and Turn the Video or Movie in an Semantic Storyline.
Example, we have Movie with 3 turnpoints where the story will go in different ways like with a good, Bad or Open end based on Visitor Motion.
What is the Benefit?
Video or filmaker have more Space for there ideas and the Marketing & Sales have several Touch Points for Business. The customer have the advantage to buy a film with different film options so it’s makes more fun to interact the film story.

The Social Good Wheel Method!

I would like to share a new service idea with you about the product life cycle beginning with the conception until the recycling point. We need more efficiency in production to reduce the pollution, energy to save emissions or recycling and to create goods where people are interested in.

How can we improve this situation?

My idea is the setup the social good wheel method to produce better products, here an overview about the main phases of the method:

  1. Conception: setup of your Design Lab, start with your own models and offer social crowd sourcing campaigns to involve your customer / partners in your product development.  You could offer 3D Showrooms or 3D augmented reality Catalogs to gather the your target market or group feedback
  2. Implementation: Based on Feedbacks and Design Ratings you can setup your production and partnering network to optimize your production process, a good option could be to setup a ECO Factor like= Environment Friendly Factor based on saved resources.
  3. Sales & Marketing: Setup you Marketing Channels and Touch Point of Interest (Online Campaigns, Events, AdWords, etc.)
  4. Service: You can use Online Tools to offer User-Friendly Services (Hand Books, FAQ’s, Failure Simulation Services)
  5. Monitoring: Implement a Product Life Time Monitoring Services
  6. Recycling: Offer Services like Upgrade Campaigns to increase the recycling Level

Rich Asset Finder Service

Today we have an increase of Assets (Text, Images, Videos, Back Links, interactive Apps, …) which are located on our website to drive successful business. Most of Website Owner start Online Campaigns in collaboration with creative Agencies to get more awareness / attention for a brand or special Sales Action, that means just more assets and it seems some websites are overcrowded with key messages where it is difficult to buildup long term mind links for website visitors.

So my idea is to implement a rich asset finder service, where we give all defined rich assets an additional tag ID in relation with tag categories so we can identify existing assets we could use for online campaigns due the fact that website visitors are familiar with it and we can check the motion value of assets due the fact we can track web statistics to identify which assets are popular. I guess there is a huge potential to take a closer look at the asset finder service to invest wise your budget. Another fact is to get an overview in kind of a dashboard view where is a asset currently live may to drop it in case of legal effects. May another idea could be to protect your rich assets for brand copies websites, you could use the search engine services to identify your protected rich assets to save your brand image and to start legal measures against brand fakes.

Mobile Local Inside Service

Hi All,

I have a great idea for an app to offer real time local inside services for the atmosphere, capacity or specials (price actions).  We go outside to our target location (restaurant, pubs, clubs, malls) and have no idea about the current situation but I guess most of us would be interested to get some answers about: is the location overcrowded? , any special actions today? , how is the mood? , dress code? , details about program or music?

So we could offer a really simple app for smartphone users, with defined buttons with short comment function like

Mood?  – Comment “cool atmosphere here”

Capacity? – Comment “it’s overcrowded, long lines”

Specials? – Comment “at 11pm 1hours halfprice”

This inside Information could we bring in relation with the location so we could have following screen,

What would you pay for an inside tip of somebody who is already in your target location?

I guess nothingJ but may we could win the location targets to offer a medium for active mind service sharing in combination with motivation like coupons or special tickets and we could offer display advertising from search engine providers, I think there is potential to think over this idea

we all know the success story of the facebook “like” button, but I think it’s time to bring more emotion and feelings into our life. My idea is to extending the media assets by “mood tags” to have more opportunities to share your personal emotions in relation to media assets like video, pics, music, text. The clue is to use these add information for a “mood search” engine filter, that means you will get results in relation of your current mood situation (e.g.  If you are really stressed and look for videos, may it will help you to get some youtube results which help you out of this situation).

What is the Benefit of “Mood Tags”?

I guess the advantage is to offer better search results for the requestors, due the fact that they’ll have the feeling the results not only contains the search term more they’ll get the feeling of attention for their current mood situation. I think it could be a good start for a new dimension of rich content “content which makes the people more happy and thankful”

What about Outlook & Potentials?

I think there is a huge potential to use this new dimension of “mood tags” or “mood filters” to offer rich valuable assets for emotional marketing campaigns. We have now more than 2 billion websites so I think it’s time to find ways to offer “positive, valuable content – driven by customer” the right attention and stage. Another potential could be to track the emotional Life time of a media Asset, this could be interesting for marketing experts, may to use existing marketing asset relation for a cross media campaign to use synergies.
